The Red Harlem Players perform an extract from Bailey:

Shortly after Bailey was published in 2012, the renowned Red Harlem Readers performed a lively staged reading from the book on Manhattan’s Upper West Side at The Indian Café, not far from where Joan lived.

The video, produced by friends, delivers a great slice of the atmosphere in the book.  It’s also worth watching as it features Joan herself, in the capable role of narrator.  You can see her enjoying the performance as it goes along.
